After releasing his hit Karamba EP on Moon Harbour in fall last year, Danny Serrano now links up with frequent collaborator Sola Tamas for their first joint EP on the label. It follows Tamas also making his Moon Harbour debut last year when he served up the Lucky EP with Eli Brown and features two more tracks that are just as special.
Serrano is a hugely prolific producer with more than 50 credits to his name on labels like Desolat, Relief and Knee Deep In Sound. His powerful productions are often in association with a range of other artists, and most recently he has explored exciting new ground with newbie Solo Tamas on labels like Snatch! Records and Freakin909. This new two tracker once again proves the duo can really cook up some dance floor dynamite.
Opener ‘Love’ is a playful number that brims with energy, from the slapping hits to the turbocharged bass via the big vocal stabs. It’s excellently driven by well-programmed drums and is the sort of forward-facing marching music to get the crowd sweaty.
Second superb cut ‘Money’ is more stripped back and focused on the frazzled synth lines that zip about above rolling percussive fills. Dark and shadowy for those cozy, strobe-lit floors, a freaky melody, laser cut synth lead and spooky vox make this a sure-fire weapon that really explodes into life.
This is another standout EP primed for plenty of high impact action in 2019.
